What this means in practice
A new site can have little or no Google traffic for many legitimate reasons. Start with discovery and indexing before assuming the content has failed.
Implementation path
- Confirm the site is crawlable and important pages return the correct status.
- Check canonicals, noindex, robots.txt, internal links, and sitemap discovery.
- Use Search Console to inspect representative pages.
- Once indexing is healthy, evaluate intent, quality, competition, and demand.
What good looks like
A strong implementation makes the intended behavior obvious to a visitor, a crawler, and a machine reader. It has one clear purpose, uses consistent signals, and does not rely on hidden assumptions.
