MetaMints is currently built for and available to users in India only. This page explains why, and what our plan is to expand beyond India.
Why India-Only, For Now
We made a deliberate choice to launch in India first rather than try to support every country at once. This lets us:
- Price the product fairly in Indian Rupees, matched to the Indian market
- Accept payments through Razorpay, India's leading payment gateway
- Fully comply with Indian data protection law (the DPDP Act, 2023) and IT Rules, 2021
- Host data closer to our users for better performance, using infrastructure based in Mumbai
- Give every early user fast, direct support from a small, focused team
We're Building Toward Global
Going global is an explicit goal, not an afterthought. As MetaMints grows, we plan to add multi-currency pricing, additional payment gateways for international cards, and compliance coverage for other regions' data protection laws (such as GDPR in Europe). We're building the product carefully so that expansion is a matter of adding coverage, not rebuilding from scratch.
What This Means If You're Outside India
